You can apply for on campus accommodation once you have received your offer (conditional or unconditional) for the Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery degree and then accepted this as your firm choice on UCAS. You will need to apply for accommodation at both Harper Adams University and Keele University.
1
View the accommodation available at both universities, BVetMS students will need a 40 or 41 week occupancy period.
2
Look out for an email from admissions@hkvets.ac.uk inviting you to apply for accommodation.
3
Submit your accommodation applications. The Keele portal opens in February, and the Harper Adams portal opens in April.
4
Ensure you include any disabilities or additional needs to be taken into consideration when allocating accommodation.
We’ll be in touch to confirm your host institution, normally this will be during the admissions confirmation period in mid-August. Our Admissions Policy includes more information about the host allocation process and details of early allocation criteria.
We aim to send out accommodation offers at the end of August. Once you have been made an offer and allocated accommodation, you will have 7 days to accept.
As part of the offer acceptance process a £300 deposit is payable as part of the accommodation offer acceptance process, this will be refunded at the end of the fixed term licence agreement minus any deductions for damages or other outstanding accommodation charges.
Accommodation fees can be paid in one lump sum before registration day, or in termly instalments scheduled in line with student loan payments.
Please note that if you decline your accommodation offer, it will automatically close your accommodation application, and we will not be able to make you an alternative offer.
For more information about applying and accepting your accommodation offer, please visit the How to Apply page on the Harper Adams University site.
Accommodation offers will be made at the end of August. Once an offer of accommodation is made, you will have 3 days to accept it.
Once accepted, you will have a 7 working day cooling off period to contact us in writing (via email to accommodation@keele.ac.uk) to let us know if you have changed your mind.
An accommodation advance payment of £450 is payable before 31 August, unless your offer of accommodation arrives after that date (if so, please make this payment on acceptance of the accommodation offer). This payment consists of a £150 room deposit that is refundable when you leave (less any charges for damage) and a £300 advance payment, which will be deducted from your first instalment of accommodation fees.
Accommodation fees are normally paid in 3 instalments of 40%, 40% and 20%. These payments are due in September/October, January and April/May.
For more information about applying and accepting your accommodation offer, please visit the How and When to Apply page on the Keele University website.
