Vocational Experience Record

Note: the deadline to complete your Vocation Form is the 20th October 2024 for a September 2025 entry.

As well as meeting the academic entry requirements, the suggested experience each applicant to aim for is two weeks in one or more veterinary practices, ideally covering both large and small animal work. In addition, up to four weeks in a mixture of non-clinical placements which could include any of the following: farms, stables, kennels, catteries, veterinary or medical laboratories and pathology services, a day at an abattoir. It is expected that you will be able to discuss in detail the insights you have gained during your work experience.

Please use this form to reflect upon the value of your experiences as a basis for choosing to pursue a veterinary career (section B) .
